Doskiiey Connect is a real-time transport platform. Cookies are essential to delivering accurate, personalised trip planning and a secure booking experience. Below is a breakdown of every category we use.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They do not store any personally identifiable information.

2.3 Analytics
These cookies help us understand how commuters use Doskiiey Connect — which routes are most searched, where users drop off in the booking flow, and how the app performs across different devices. All data is aggregated and anonymised before analysis.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party behavioural profiling tools on this platform.
2.4 Location and map data
When you permit location access, your GPS coordinates are used within your browser session to detect your nearest transport stop and display your position on the live map. Coordinates are not stored in a cookie — they are processed in memory and sent to our API over an encrypted connection. See our Privacy Policy §8 for full details.
Live map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap may set functional cookies necessary for tile delivery; refer to the OSM Privacy Policy for details.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Certain features of Doskiiey Connect rely on third-party services that may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by each provider's own privacy policy.

We do not embed Facebook pixels, Google Ads tags, LinkedIn Insight Tags, or any other advertising network trackers on our platform.

5. Cookies and POPIA
South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) governs the processing of personal information, including information collected via cookies where it is linked or linkable to an identifiable person (e.g. a signed-in user's session token).
For strictly necessary cookies, our lawful basis is legitimate interest — the platform cannot function without them. For functional and analytics cookies, our lawful basis is consent, which you grant through the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting your ability to use the core transport features.
6. Changes to This Policy
As we introduce new features — such as booking integrations, real-time payment flows, or in-app advertising for partner operators — our use of cookies may change. We will update this policy and, where the changes are material, display a notification banner or send registered users an email at least 14 days before the new practices take effect.
